Seb Lester charts his life in letters from student days to working for some of the biggest companies in the world to current art and design projects. The presentation includes a section on designing a logo for a NASA space mission. Seb will also be speaking about how he ended up with over a million followers on social media.
Seb Lester is a designer and artist based in the UK. He has developed logos and type illustrations for some of the world’s biggest companies, publications and events, including the likes of NASA, Apple, The New York Times and The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. An obsession with calligraphy has pushed his work in exciting directions. In four years he has become one of the highest profile calligraphers in the world with over one million followers on social media websites. Previously a Senior Type Designer at Monotype for nine years he developed custom typefaces for many familiar brands including British Airways, Intel, The Daily Telegraph and H&M. He is passionate about letterforms stating "I find the Latin alphabet to be one of mankind's most beautiful and profound creations".
